Zambia College of Agriculture (ZCA) – Mpika is renowned for its practical oriented training programmes in agriculture. Being established in 1976, ZCA – Mpika has over 40 years of experience in training delivery in the field of agriculture, producing hands-on graduates for the Agriculture Sector. It is situated in a conducive agricultural environment that is representative of Region III of the country’s agro-ecological regions characterised of high rainfall of about 1200mm per annum.

The College is surrounded by natural vegetation giving a unique fresh and quiet environment suitable for study. The College has a mixed farm comprising livestock and crops and equipment such as Centre Pivot, sprinkler and drip irrigation, which give the students hands-on experience in the management of agriculture production enterprises. Coupled with modules in entrepreneurship, the College prepares its graduates for both employment as well as business (self-employment) in agriculture.

The College has drawn interest and demand from a wide range of agriculture stakeholders including public, private and non-governmental organizations.
